I was skeptical at first.....you can do a hysterectomy with a robot?  Well, let me tell you, it is a fact and it is the way to go.  I had my surgery on a Monday morning, and went home early on Tuesday.  I was tired....does anyone sleep well in the hospital?  I took two naps that first day and watched TV and movies when I wasn't napping.  I took the Motrin as recommended, but never needed anything stronger.  I was a little uncomfortable for a couple of days, but really didn't feel too bad at all...and certainly nothing like I had envisioned.  By the 4th day, I was off the pain pills and able to go out of the house on short errands. After a week, I was walking the dogs and doing most of the non-strenuous activities around the house.  An occasional nap was a nice treat, but certainly not necessary.  My tiny little incisions healed right away, and after two weeks, I was ready to go back to work.  Instead, I stayed home another week and did some fun projects at home.  This recovery was so much easier than I had expected!  I would highly recommend going with the robotic surgery over traditional surgery whenever recommended.  Dr. Borrison was fantastic!  Thank you!
